Another Guinness World Record for Jon

www.MyPE.co.za: As I
have reported before, when the Macfarlane family left Port Elizabeth
for New Zealand their son, Jon, was ‘slightly’ smaller than his present
144
kilogram frame.

At the time I suspected that his incredible growth was as a result of
the monster
crayfish
that Jon’s
father, David was pulling out of the New Zealand water – big enough to
make the Longhair want to pack for New Zealand and live a life of
dripping garlic butter and tasty crayfish, washed down with whatever
form of Fanta Brown passes for a beer in that cold country below the
land of the sheep farmers.

Sheesh Darryl, at 144 kilograms, Jon would make you look positively
anaemic!

Throwing a 45 kilogram washing machine 4.01 metresJon has now managed
to gain a second entry in the Guinness Book of
Records, this time for throwing a 45 kilogram washing machine 4.01
metres at a shopping mall in Auckland on Saturday 22 August – I presume
it was old scratch and dent stock that they needed to get rid of.

Jon’s first Guinness World Record was for throwing a 60 kilogram person
a distance of 5.7 metres on Saturday 26 June 2009.

Jon broke the Australian strongman, Bill Lyndon’s existing record of
3.36 metres that he set at the studios of Guinness World Records in
Sydney, Australia for the 45 kilogram washing machine toss, during June
2005. A great day for New Zealand as the
All Blacks also beat the Wallabies 19 points to 18 in the tri-nations
rugby.

Good on yer Jon – looks like you will have to wash those clothes by
hand from now on, though!
