Christian Dance Fellowship
www.MyPE.co.za: The
Eastern Cape Christian Dance Fellowship (EC CDF) team (a combination of
various churches and community groups) is being re-established in the
Province. It is a cross-denominational, non-gain organisation that
brings churches and communities together through Dance and the Arts. It
has successfully hosted workshops, outreaches and concerts that have
positively influenced people’s lives on a spiritual, mental, emotional
and physical level.
On 6-10 April, CDF-Eastern Cape will be hosting a Province-wide
conference and concert targeting children, the youth and adults. This
event will be the first of its kind in Christian Creative Arts for the
region. A line up of experienced, qualified and cutting-edge
international and local speakers and trainers, most of whom are waiving
their fees as a form of social responsibility will present:
- Sonja L.
Samuel from Texas, USA: A former Dallas Cowboys
Cheerleader and NFL Payers Cheerleader, Sonja is a favorite among many
student groups for conducting motivational school assemblies and
rallies to coach and train the youth of today on making right choices,
abstinence education, leadership and character development. Currently,
Sonja travels the country consulting, speaking and training on personal
and professional development issues. - Lauren George
from Cape Town, South Africa: Lauren is a passionate worshipper who
happens to dance, and this passion has been the driving force behind
the facilitation of various dance workshops and Creative Arts
Conferences in Cape Town. She heads up a dance team, Prophetic Praise
as well as The Dance Network (an interdenominational network of dancers
around Cape Town), as well as the PROPS Arts Academy (a dance school in
the local community). - Liesl Townsend
from Port Elizabeth, South Africa: Liesl is a Social Worker in Private
Practise and runs her own Company Leap 292 Consultancy, focusing mainly
on Employee Assistance and Wellness Programmes. Originally from Cape
Town, she began Christian dance with Rosemary Raw ( Founder of CDFSA )
in 1981, at the Christian Dance School. - Warren Stuart
the CDFEC Regional Coordinator: Warren is married to Natalie Stuart.
Currently employed at Frontline Market Research as a Technical and Data
Manager. Warren has been dancing since 1998. Warren has been involved
in various projects over the last 10 years. He currently the dance
leader to 27 Dancers at Word of Faith Christian Centre.
Christian Dance Fellowship will be hosting this conference at the St
Thomas Senior Secondary School. However St Thomas needs a lot of
sprucing up and grooming, both inside and outside. Christian Dance
Fellowship are embarking on a community project to refurbish the school
to “give back”, over and above, the work being done doing in community
Creative Arts.
Christian Dance Fellowship require cleaning materials to scrub, clean
and beautify the entrance of the school, 6 classrooms and Auditorium
which delegates will be using. It is in an unkempt state at the moment.
In addition they would like to serve their cleaners, painters, helpers
with beverages and meals during the day and special guests during the
conference with snacks and beverages.

- Cleaning utensils
- Food and Care for Teachers, speakers and event staff
- Toilet paper
