FREE Heineken Beer

www.MyPE.co.za: The
Eastern Cape Provincial government is rolling out the orange carpet to
welcome thousands of Dutch soccer supporters to the city.

Following discussion with the Netherlands Supporters Club management,
Dutch visitors will be hosted and entertained at the Eastern Cape Hub
tonight after the key clash between Brazil and Netherlands at this
afternoons’ Port Elizabeth Stadium.

Free traditional food like tripe, sheeps head and rooterbrood will be
served together with kegs of Heineken Beer – a local Dutch brand.
Several hundred Dutch revellers are expected at the reception.

A massive screen in the venue will enable Dutch supporters to view the
other match of the day between Uruguay and Ghana at 8.30pm.

Eastern Cape Hub co-ordinator Nomfundo wakwa Luphondwana said Brand
Eastern Cape would make an indelible impression on big spending Dutch
travellers. “The Eastern Cape has always been a popular destination for
Dutch
travellers, students and business people and government is determined
to further strengthen ties with this country by showing them great
African hospitality.”

The Eastern Cape Hub facility, set by the Eastern Cape Province and its
agencies, is innovatively using the opportunity of the 2010 FIFA World
Cup™ to engage stakeholders with Brand Eastern Cape.

The Eastern Cape Hub has hosted daily food tasting sessions, diski
dancing demonstrations, big screen match viewing and several local and
visiting delegations.

While the 2010 FIFA World Cup™  is moving to a climax, the EC
Hub will play host to numerous meetings and delegations until the end
of July.

A highlight of Hub activities in the past week was the visit of youth
fans from the USA, Germany, Nigeria, Switzerland and Cameroon, who
interacted with local schools on issues such as nation building and
social cohesion.

The Eastern Cape Hub can be found in the old Oakley Building between
the South
End Museum
and South End Fire Station.
