association held their annual National Deaf Golf Championship at
Humewood Golf Course from 19th –
22nd March 2010, in preparation for
the World Deaf Championship in Scotland In August. Humewood was

Gail KlichowiczSaturday was near
perfect conditions as the players made their way around this beautiful
course. Sunday heralded even better playing conditions. The players
raved about Humewood and it’s rolling fairways.

Monday morning started in near perfect conditions , but then a breeze
sprung up, slowly working its way up to a typical westerly. This is
where the men were seperated from the boys, as most of the players have
never played in windy conditions like this, a typical links atmosphere.
The wind causing havoc with flight and many a ball was caught up in the
Fynbos surrounding the fairways.

The Men’s winner was Ryan Lotz playing off a 3 handicap, who hails from
Cape Town and plays at King David Club in Cape Town. Second was by
Cedric “le chef” Touzard and Danie Marais from Northern Cape in third.
