Heritage Day Celebrations

www.MyPE.co.za: There
is no reason to be bored this coming Heritage weekend as The Boardwalk
has loads of exciting things planned for the holiday.

Hobie Beach Entrance to The BoardwalkFor those who want to
chill out and enjoy themselves on National Braai
Day, the Bayside Pantry is offering a special “braai” menu. Topping the
list is samp and beans and boerewors with a selection of South African
treats for dessert including koeksisters, trifle and hot Malva pudding
with custard. The “braai buffet” is R119.50 per/person and bookings
should be done in advance. Contact 041 507 7793 to make your booking.

A musical celebration of women’s voices will take place on Friday, 25
September where three of the country’s top ethno-soul artists will take
to the stage at the Vodacom amphitheatre.  Coming back to
their Eastern Cape roots, Zonke and Lulu Dikana will be
joined on stage
by “ethno-soul princess,” Camagwini who is also an artist
under the
“Native Rythms Productions” banner. Each of the young women is an
established artist in her own right, and their collaboration at The
Boardwalk promises to be a show-stopper. Tickets are available from
Computicket at R100 and the show starts at 20h00.

There will also be loads of exciting entertainment happening throughout
The
Boardwalk
retail area over Heritage weekend including free
dance
sessions at the Vodacom Amphitheatre on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
from 10h00-12h00.

Don’t miss the live buskers and a comedy show at News
Cafe
from 20h00
on Heritage Day. Visitors can chill out to some live Sunday Jazz at
News
Cafe
from 18h00 on the Sunday, 27 September.
