Kruger Claims 5 in his First Game for Warriors

www.MyPE.co.za: Back
in the Eastern Cape, Garnett Kruger took five scalps for 71 runs
against a battling Dolphins team in the Supersport game in Durban over
the weekend. Dolphins won the toss and elected to field first.

A superb 93 runs from, Man of the Match, Colin Ingram and a fine 57
from Johan Botha set a total of 248 runs in 91.4 overs, for the
Dolphins to chase in the rain affected game where more than 10 overs
were lost due the inclement weather.

A very courageous or foolish declaration from Imraan Khan whilst on 70
runs for no wicket in 31.2 overs in their first innings virtually gave
Warriors the game on a plate. Warriors declared the second innings on
96 for six in 31 overs leaving Dolphins a chase of 275 but the chase
never materialized as the Dolphins fell at 186 all out, with only Kent
and Miller contributing 27 runs each and number 11, Abdulla, adding 25
more runs  to the total.

The Chevrolet Warriors gathered 12.96 bonus points and Dolphins 4.

A crushing defeat of an innings and 72 runs by the Cape Cobras over
Titans, set the Cobras on top of the current log with 76.52 points over
the Warriors in second place on 66.1 points, just ahead of the Lions on
65.66 points in third.

The Chevrolet Warriors play Titans in the return Supersport four day
match starting this Wednesday 16th December at Axxess
DSL St Georges
at
10:00 am.

Titans will have their backs to the wall, after two crushing defeats,
one by Cobras, by an innings and 72 runs, this past Weekend and the
second by the Lions, an innings and 122 runs the previous weekend,
making the Warriors favourites in this game.
