MTN One Day Series gets underway this week and Axxess
DSL St George’s
will play host to the fourth match of this 5 one day match series.
The match will start at 10:00 on Sunday 29 November and gates will open
at 07:00. Jumbo’s Cricket management are looking forward to a great day
of entertaining cricket with cricket lovers from the region coming out
to support the home team.
Jumbos Cricket will also be teaming up with the Junior City Council to
assist them with a Christmas present collection. The gifts
collected at the match will be donated to the JCC charity – Jerusalem
Ministries. We urge all our supporters to bring along a gift – no
matter how small to the match. There will be collection
points at each of the 3 gates – Duckpond Pavilion, Park Drive and B
Field entrance. We would love to be able to give the less
fortunate a little something to smile about this Christmas.
The aim is to collect 250 gifts which will be handed out the children
from Jerusalem Ministries on 4 December when the JCC will host a party
for them.
There will be lots of action at the cricket for young and old – kids
will be entertained at the MTN
World of Cricket with selected winners
participating in the MTN Cricket Challenge on the field during the
lunch break. There are great prizes up for grabs.
The first 1000 people through the gates will receive a flag or sportie
to wear during the match to show their support for the Proteas.
Fans are reminded of the restricted items list which include: any glass
or tin containers, gas braais, alcohol, beach umbrellas, chairs with
foot rests and vuvuzela’s. Items which will be allowed
include coolerbags, food (only plastic cutlery), soft drinks in plastic
containers and chairs.
Tickets are available at the Axxess DSL St George’s ticket office from
08:30-16:30 from Monday to Friday. The ticket office will be
open this Saturday 21 November from 09:00-14:00. Tickets are
also on sale at all Computicket
outlets. Unreserved tickets available
from Brian
Bands Sport (Uitenhage & Graaff-Reinet) and
Brocketts Sports.
MyPE will also be doing a live blg of the game – get close to the
action via your computer screen and interact with us on the day.
