Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality introduced a versatile board with
members from different sectors of society, who will now be responsible
for the independent management of the Nelson Mandela Bay community TV
They are Lee Duru (Film Director and Producer), Vuyo Nyembezi (Regional
Manager: Radio & TV Broadcast Facilities at SABC), Loyiso
Nkantsu (Secretary General of NAFCOC Eastern Cape), Vuyo Mvoko
(formerly a political correspondent and editor in the mainstream
media), Monde Ngonyama (Deputy Chairperson of the National Film
& Video Foundation), Motse Mfuleni (National Secretary General
of Black Information & Technology Forum (BITF) and Denise
Roodt, a media content producer and training provider.
The management of the much anticipated community TV station, that will
broadcast as far a field as Port Alfred, Jeffreys Bay and Grahamstown,
will be handed over to the newly appointed board members as early as

Mr Anele Qaba, Director: Trade and Investment, said the community TV
station will be housed at the Transnet Building behind the Port
Elizabeth City Hall and the first broadcast could take place as early
as next year.
