Our Prospects After the Economic Crisis

Port Elizabeth Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PERCCI),
together with the Eastern Cape Socio Economic Consultative Council
(ecSECC) will host a Business Breakfast, on Tuesday, 12 October 2010,
at the Radisson
Blu Hotel

Industrial Development Corporation Chief Economist, Lumkile Mondi, will
address guests on “Our prospects after the economic crisis” – the
prospects for industrialisation in the aftermath of global economic
crisis and the role of the IDC.

Mondi has written and presented at conferences on economic development
problems faced by the South African economy.

As a fellow of the African Leadership Initiative (ALI), an Aspen
Institute, Mondi is engaged in influencing leaders to be socially
conscious in addressing economic issues to meet the Millennium
Development goals by 2014. He is a member of the State Owned
Enterprises Presidential Review Committee; and has also served as a
member of former president Thabo Mbeki’s Economic Advisory Panel.

Members of the public are invited to attend the event at a cost of R130
per person. PERCCI members will pay a discounted fee of R100 per person.
