is the cry that you will hear on Sunday 9 August at Port Elizabeth’s
Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

At 3:30 p.m. the 1994 Brazilian Soccer Legends team will kick off in a
game against the 1996 Bafana Bafana Legends.

In a packed Women’s Day programme starting at 10:00 a.m. and MC’ed by
SABC Sport on 1 presenter, Carol Manana there are two main games being
played: At 12:00 p.m. the NMB Women’s Invitational will take on the
Amathole Women’s Invitational and the main game at 3:30 p.m. sees
Brazil against Bafana Bafana.

Enetrtainment and performances by female artists such as DJ Cindy will
dominate the proceedings in celebration of Women’s Day on Monday 10
August.

Tickets cost R20.00 and are available from Computicket, Shoprite
Checkers
and MTN
outlets.

For your Twenty bucks you get TWO tickets, one of which must ge given
to a woman. Of course if you are a woman buying the ticket you may give
one to the ugly person in your life!

Port Elizabeth may have lost out when FIFA decided that our stadium
would not be ready in time for the Confederations Cup (which it was)
but, since then, we have racked up a number of firsts to rub salt into
the wound: the first new stadium completed, the first new stadium to
hold major soccer and rugby matches, the first stadium to test drive
the FIFA ticketing system – the turnstile display will indicate
directions to your seat when you insert your bar coded ticket for entry
– and the first new stadium to host a women’s soccer match.

The Women’s Day Event on Sunday 9 August will be the 5th major event to
be held at the new stadium, ensuring that Port Elizabeth is a number of
jumps ahead in preparedness for the 2010
FIFA World Cup
.
