You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown Since
7 March 1967 when it opened off-Broadway in New York, You’re A Good
Man, Charlie Brown (the musical based on Charles Schultz’ beloved comic
strip PEANUTS) has become the most produced musical in the world! The
show began a new chapter in its extraordinary life when an expanded
Broadway revival opened in 1999 (for which Kristin Chenoweth – of
WICKED fame won the Tony for best featured actress. 2 Tony Awards and 3
Drama Desk Awards were won for this production) and it is this revival
is excited to be presenting in November 2009!

Directed by award-winning Robin Williams with Musical Direction by
award winning Debbie Everard and Choreography by award winning Candice
Johnstone (the Footloose creative team). Lighting will be designed by
Dave Whitehouse and Sound created by Neil Thomson and Brendon Samuels
with Costumes by Debbie du Plessis and Brenda Ower. This show promises
to be a delightful, winsome, witty, funny glimpse via childhood of the
foibles of life!

Opening 24 November, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown will run
until 12 December 2009.

The wonderful cast of Schultz’s renowned characters are Charlie Brown,
played by Anton Steyn, – the “round-headed kid” genuine and confused as
to what a ‘good man’ is, constantly attempting to figure out who he is,
why he is here and how he fits. Reyn ffoulkes portrays his ever
faithful dog Snoopy, the wisecracking, smart and joyous pup. Sally
Brown, played by Lynn Thomson, is intensely “angst-full”. Lucy, is
played by Rebecca Hartle, Schroeder, by Andile “Ace” Magxaki, – with
his gentle and sincere love and reverence for music (when he isn’t
dodging Lucy’s advances and the wise and thoughtful Linus, played by
Matthew Berry, a sensitive boy whose brains and warmth are only
equalled by his blanket dependency. Kaylan Sabbadin, Wesley Dyke and
Peter Lee Ching taking the roles as ensemble.

Bookings open 2 November at Walmer
